About the event
Easter is a great time of the year where Spring is in the air! We have a beautiful location just outside Romsey with a woodland that children can explore, get lost in their immagination, make friends, create dens and play games.
A short walk to the woods takes us to our forest school site where our campfire is at the heart of our day. Children are learning how to be safe around the fire, they can learn to light their own little fire and also cook on the campfire.
With adult guidance children are using tools like hammers, peelers and a bow saw to create wood art. Some children enjoy bug hunting or just happy to chill in a hammock or read a book in a tree! At Easter time there will always be an Easter Egg hunt with challenges set along the way!
Our woodland site offers a great bank that the children love to play on, working together to gather treasure from the bottom and making pullies to pull it to their friends at the top. If it's wet it becomes a mud slide, so there can be lots of messy play too!
School holidays at My Little Explorers is fun and perfect for children who just want to play! All you need to remember is to pack the right clothes and a lunch (campfire hot dog lunch is an option). We have trained forest school practitioners running camp and we are all big kids at heart.
