NEW FOR 2020


Drop off your children for a 2 hour forest school session in our beautiful setting at Toothill, Romsey.  Every Monday with our experienced Forest School Leaders we will take the children to the woods for some fun activities including den building, bug hunting, arts and crafts.  We will be learning about our environment, testing our balancing skills, creating memories.

Our sessions include tool use, fire lighting and campfire cooking. Sessions are from 12.30-2.30pm.

What is Toothill Explorers?

A drop off session for parents to leave their children with our experienced Forest School leaders for some fun, creativity and exploring in our beautiful woods.

A child initiated session where children learn naturally, build in confidence and self esteem, make friends and take on new challenges.


Activities can include:

  • Den building

  • Bug hunting

  • Mud kitchen

  • Woodland games

  • Natural arts and crafts

  • Firelighting and campfire cooking

  • Wild walks and exploring our world

Toothill Explorers FAQ's


Most of our children that attend this group are pre-school or keystage 1 Age 3 - 7years . Activities are varied to suit all ages but it is also a great opportunity for children to work together problem solving, team building and looking out for each other


The price for Toothill Explorers is £15.00 per session, this includes a campfire snack. Each booking needs to be for a minimum of 4 weeks

Session information

Toothill Explorers is a 2 hour session which takes place at our woodland site at Hillside Cottage, Toothill Road, Romsey every Monday from 12.30pm - 2.30pm. If there is a demand for sessions on a Monday morning we will also run a group from 10am - 12pm. Please email sam@mylittleexplorers for more information. Planned activities and themes to promote learning through nature, campfire cooking, Shelter building, bushcraft and lots more!

Clothing and kit

Children need to wear appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes or wellies (depending on the weather) and bring waterproofs. Please note: long trousers, long-sleeved tops and closed shoes are essential protection against stinging nettles, rough wood and ticks.


Please provide your child with a water bottle and snacks if you want your own but we will be cooking over the campfire during the session. We can cater for allergies and dietry requirements, please let us know beforehand. Soap and water and antibacterial gel is used for hand washing before eating and throughout the session.
